Project Overview

Goride is a mobile ride-booking application created to simplify urban transportation through an intuitive and user-centered interface. The project focused on reducing booking friction, improving trip tracking, and creating a visually consistent design system that delivers a seamless experience for both passengers and drivers.

The Problem

Many ride-hailing applications overwhelm users with cluttered interfaces, confusing booking flows, and inconsistent navigation. These usability issues often increase booking time and reduce user confidence during critical actions such as selecting locations, confirming rides, and making payments.

Research & Insight

User research highlighted three primary expectations: fast ride booking, real-time trip visibility, and a simple payment experience. Competitive analysis revealed that users value minimal interactions, clear status updates, and accessible navigation throughout the booking journey.

Design Decisions

  • Clean and intuitive booking flow with fewer user interactions

  • Simple navigation for quick access to core features

  • High-contrast visual hierarchy for improved readability

  • Optimized mobile spacing and touch-friendly interactions

Key Challenge

Designing a comprehensive ride-booking experience that balances speed, accessibility, and visual simplicity while supporting multiple user journeys such as ride booking, trip tracking, payments, and ride history.

Outcome

The final design delivers a modern, scalable, and user-friendly ride-hailing experience with a complete UI kit that ensures consistency across the application. The streamlined interface reduces cognitive load, improves booking efficiency, and provides a strong foundation for future feature expansion.
