PhotoTune is a mobile photo editing app focused on delivering a fast, intuitive, and enjoyable editing experience. The goal was to create a clean interface that allows users to enhance, adjust, and personalize their photos using professional-grade editing tools without overwhelming them.
The Problem
Many photo editing apps are packed with complex features that make basic editing difficult for casual users. Cluttered interfaces, hidden controls, and inconsistent workflows often slow down the editing process and reduce user engagement.
Research & Insight
Research showed that users value speed, simplicity, and creative flexibility. They expect essential editing tools, filters, cropping, color adjustments, and export options to be easy to access while maintaining a visually appealing and distraction-free interface.
Design Decisions
Clean and minimal interface with intuitive navigation
Organized editing tools for faster workflow
Large photo preview to keep the image as the main focus
Consistent iconography and modern visual hierarchy
Key Challenge
Designing a feature-rich editing experience that remains simple and approachable for both beginners and experienced users without sacrificing functionality.
